My Autograph - the Movie

Warning: If you are planning on watching this movie, you better not read what follows...

"My Autograph" is totally weird... a remake of course of a Tamil movie... but I just couldn't either love or hate it.

Its Sudeep's first as a director, producer and the lead role of "Shankara". Simply put - its about the 4 girls who come into Sudeep's life... 2 of them get married to someone else... one remains as a very good friend... and the final one to whom he gets married to... Stupid ?? Not really !!

The setup of the movie is mostly Agumbe and parts of Kerala... the backwaters and the misty mountains are a pleasure to watch. The movie is simple... and the jokes actually make you "laugh"... the music is good enough to stir lots of emotions based on the circumstances... the songs, which are hardly there, are just about ok. About 75% of the movie is a flash-back... and its a movie only about the memories of those whom you love... its not over-sentimental... the fights are too limited... but the 3 hour movie is really painfully slow... the butt really aches at the end of the day... and his finishing lines wherein Sudeep asks you to just "sit back and reflect over the memories of someone you love" hardly has any effect.

But the movie sometimes makes you feel that it wasn't that bad after all... and I'd just settle on the typical comment - "Its a different movie"

Rating - *** (That's good)
